- Description
- Our Client based in Dounreay, Scotland have a requirement for Project Controls Support for short term contract, until 31st October 2014, although it may run on.
The rate for ths position is between £35 - £45ph LTd ( No overtime rates will apply)
The Job Holder will:
- Support the project delivery teams
- Participate in and provide information on project controls processes and systems to project teams
- Identify developing project control issues
- Analyse progress against project baseline
- Advise project teams of project controls performance issues
- Use recognised best practise in project controls and comply with all DSRL standards, procedures and instructions
- Interact proactively/routinely with the project control staff in other areas/interfacing teams for project/operations cost data and expenditure profiles, ensuring that costs are correctly aligned with programme phases, activities and duration
- Understand and interpret complex technical, operational, financial and risk issues
- Understands the basic elements of a contract
- Have a wider knowledge of financial concepts and how these are linked together
- Have the technical knowledge to fix and solve problems for the everyday user
- Be able to apply project management and control skills to plan, manage and implement a project.
- Understand how their interpersonal relationships and dealings with stakeholders will cause them to react
- Be formally trained in management system tools, techniques and principles
- Has detailed knowledge of developing & implementing baselines that encompass resource, cost resource & schedule
